It’s the best pizza I’ve ever had. It’s worth the wait if I’m going to have pizza I drive all the way to Lincoln Park or I don’t have pizza. I love the fact that u can order and pick it up. They also have frozen pizza pie’s to take home and there just as good as being at the restaurant It’s so much better than a5 star it’s more of a 10 star restaurant. Pure love for this pizza All I can say is thank u God for letting me be taken there over 35 years ago

Just average. People rave about this place, so we had to check it out. Not very professionally run for a place that has been around for so long. Sign on door says it opens at 4pm - so we sit in our car and wait until a couple of minutes 'til 4. By the time we get to the door at 4:00 sharp - the place is PACKED! We ask how, and they tell us they actually open earlier of people are waiting. Well thanks - but that only works if you have the inside information. So even arriving "before" the opened, we had to wait an hour for a table. Bad start. This place is cash only. No credit or debit cards. Yes, there IS an ATM in the vestibule, but it's set into the wall in such a way that you can't shield the view of your transaction or pin from the 30 people crammed in there with you. Hardly secure. Finally - the much-spoken-of food.... Ho-hum. Really nothing to write home about. Any decent Chicago pizza (thin, tavern-cut, not that thick stuff) beats the pants off the upside-down pizza-in-a-bowl stuff they serve here. Bland, not even hot, lacking flavor. The "antipasto" had some strange kind of definitely NOT Italian sausage or salami. Maybe Hickory Farms surplus. Our fun waiter was one saving grace. He made up for the L-O-N-G wait to get in and having to run out to the vestibule to get cash. He knew the menu, was friendly, and apologetic for the ridiculous opening time policy. He steered us onto a bottle of decent wine for a reasonable price. We went. So there. Not worth the time or effort. Won't be back.

OK so let's dive into why I rated this place 2 stars. The good: sausage in my grinder was really good. OK done with the good stuff. The bad: not really a pizza place, in fact not a pizza place. The only thing on their menu close to pizza was a pizza pot pie... what? Then there were only a few things after that. Two large pages of descriptions and only a few options. Then the place is CASH ONLY! Who still does that? Newspaper stands have that phone device that can scan a card, I mean really! Oh, and let's talk about the love of cheese from this place. Yeah my sausage tasted great, but you had to find it through all of the cheese. Look at the photo, would you like meat with your cheese?

It’s one of the finest pizza pot pie I’ve ever eaten. Seriously I shouldn’t have wasted my money and time on deep dish pizza. Perfect dough density and sauce to cheese ratio. Highly recommended if you are visiting Chicago and wanna try something awesome!!!

The pizza pot pie is delicious. Anticipate a long wait when going here. No reservations, find the person taking names. You need your whole group there to be seated. The Lincoln Park zoo is a block away and free, worth checking out for part of your wait. The Mediterranean bread is a great starter. Although you can get the pizza to go it's best served fresh. Veggie and Meat sauce are the options. The mushrooms are fresh and good.
