What a spectacular experience for the third time. Let's start with the service. Our waiter chris was beyond spectacular. Everyone that spoke with us was spectacular and the meal was perfectly paced. The halibut was perfectly cooked. The sweetbreads were my least favorite. The corn dessert was to die for. Will return.
Great food and good ambience. Best Michelin restaurant I’ve been to (out of ~3 so far). Chicken and duck are amazing. Appetizers are okay but not same level. Cool paintings and waitstaff are good at making lactose free alternatives (gave olive oil instead of butter for bread).
The fact that you can come here and eat amazing meals is an unforgettable experience. The purpose of our coming here was a simple family gathering to celebrate a birthday. It just so happened that this was my first visit to this restaurant. Because we were driving along here, we were fortunate in that parking was easy to find. My first impression of the restaurant was how vast and sophisticated it was as soon as we entered. Following the placement of our order, it was processed within a short period of time. Eating here was an enjoyable experience. Aside from the short ribs and a course tasting, we got gently cured Kampachi, creamy cauliflower soup, and hazelnut and coffee – and we also had a cocktail to wash it all down. The majority of the time, everything went smoothly. You should guys try it out, b group of friends, relatives, or your s , or special someone. The time you spend here will be unforgettable!
Went for restaurant week and Unfortunately not the Boka I remembered from years past. The class has really gone downhill. Extremely loud inside, I asked the bartender to explain the tasting menu and she said what do you mean? The cauliflower soup was very good, the pork and pork belly entree left something to be desired, desert was decent as well but Ultimately very dissatisfied for the price range. This used to be one of the best restaurants in Chicago but now sadly is average at best.
We came here for the restaurant week dinner menu. It's $55 per person and you get to taste a their signature dishes. We've been here twice and I think overall the food was great but the portion was a bit small compared to other restaurant week menus, which is understandable bc it's one Michelin star. Overall, the food were delicious but only if the portion was a bit bigger it would've been a five star for me.
